AN ORDINANCE VACATING AN EASEMENT FOR ELECTRIC TRANSMISSION AND
DISTRIBUTION LINES SITUATED IN THE ALEXANDER HILL SURVEY, ABSTRACT
NUMBER 623, DENTON COUNTY TEXAS, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Denton has determined
that the easement being vacated is no longer needed for public use,
and
WHEREAS, the fair market value of the easement has been deter-
mined and received, as required by section 272 001 of the Local
Government Code and DENTON, TEX , CODE ch 2, art IV (1991), NOW,
THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I. That the easement for electric transmission and
distribution lines situated in the Alexander Hill Survey, Abstract
Number 623, Denton County, Texas, granted from Acme Brick Company
to Texas Power and Light Company of record in Volume 355, Page 172,
Deed Records of Denton County, Texas and assigned to the City of
Denton by assignment of record at Volume 756, Page 669, Deed Re-
cords of Denton County, Texas is permanently vacated and extin-
guished as an easement for electric transmission and distribution
lines
SECTION II That by reason of such vacation the City of
Denton's property interest in the easement shall by operation of
law, revert to the owner or owners abutting the easement herein
abandoned and the City of Denton releases any and all claims to the
use of the property as an easement for electric transmission and
distribution lines
SECTION III. That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and appal
