1991-099g updocs\697730 ORDINANCE NO Q l_ U 9q AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, PROHIBITING PARKING IN CERTAIN PUBLIC CEMETERIES EXCEPT FOR CEMETERY RELATED PURPOSES, PROVIDING FOR A MAXIMUM PENALTY OF $200 00 FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION I. That Article III of Chapter 25 of the Code of ordinances is amended by adding a new section 25-173 to read as follows Sea 25-173 Parking No person shall park any motor vehicle in Oakwood or I 0 0 F Cemeteries except for the purpose of attending a funeral, visiting a gravesite, or maintaining or repairing cemetery property SECTION II That any person violating any provision of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be fined a sum not exceeding $200 00 Each day that a provision of this ordinance is violated shall constitute a separate and distinct offense SECTION III That this ordinance shall become effective four- teen (14) days from the date of its passage, and the City Secretary is hereby directed to cause the caption of this ordinance to be published twice in the Denton Record-Chronicle, the official news- paper of the City of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of the date of its passage PASSED AND APPROVED this the 9 day of QAA= 1991 BOB CASTLEBERRY, ATTEST JENNIFER WALTERS, CITY SECRETARY BY - APPROVED AS TO LEGAL FORM DEBRA A DRAYOVITCH, CITY ATTORNEY BY
