ORDINANCE NO q1_022
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AMENDING THE DENTON
DEVELOPMENT CODE BY ADDING AN EXCEPTION TO SIDEWALK REQUIREMENTS,
PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY IN THE AMOUNT OF $500 FOR VIOLATIONS
THEREOF, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I That article 4 04 (Q) (2) of Division II of Chapter
IV of Appendix A of the Code of Ordinances is amended by adding the
following paragraph
(Q) SIDEWALKS
(2)
(d) Sidewalks shall not be required for a
replat of property zoned for single
family residential use if the preced-
ing plat covering the same property
did not require sidewalks
SECTION II That any person violating any provision of this
ordinance shall, upon conviction, be fined a sum not exceeding
$500 00 Each day that a provision of this ordnance is violated
shall constitute a separate and distinct offense
SECTION III That this ordinance shall become effective four-
teen (14) days from the date of its passage, and the City Secretary
is hereby directed to cause the caption of this ordinance to be
published twice in the Denton Record-Chronicle, the official news-
paper of the City of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of the
date of its passage
