AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6 "CEMETERIES" OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS BY AMENDING SECTION 6-2
(c), ENTITLED "PLATTING AND SALE OF LOTS OR BLOCKS" BY REVISING THE
FEES TO BE CHARGED FOR PLOTS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Chapter 6 "Cemeteries" of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas is hereby amended by
amending Section 6-2 (c) "Platting and Sale of Lots or Blocks",
which said section shall hereafter be and read as follows:
Sec. 6-2. Platting and Sale of Lots or Blocks.
(c) Fees:
Adult lot ..................................$350
Infant lot 7r,
Concrete work permit 25
Internment permit 25
Each infant lot or space shall be in designated
areas at I.O.O.F. and Oakwood Cemeteries.
SECTION II. That if any provision of this ordinance or
application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid
by any court, such holding shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions of this ordinance, and the City Council of the
City of Denton, Texas, hereby declares that it would have enacted
such remaining portions despite any such invalidity.
SECTION III. That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and apprpval.
