AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CHANGE ORDER TO A
CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF DENTON AND SUNMOUNT CORPORATION;
PROVIDING FOR AN INCREASE IN THE CONTRACT PRICE; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on May 2, 1989, the City awarded a contract for the
construction of certain improvements to Bonnie Brae Paving,
Drainage and Sidewalks in the amount of $91,910.00; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager having recommended to the Council
that a change order be authorized to amend such contract with
respect to the scope and price and said change order being in
compliance with the requirements of Chapter 252 of the Local
Government Code; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON:
SECTION I. That the change order to the contract between the
City an Sunmount Corporation, a copy of which is attached hereto,
in the amount of Six Thousand Six Hundred Forty-Nine and Fifty-one
($6,649.51) Dollars, is hereby approved and the expenditure of
funds therefor is hereby authorized.
SECTION II. That this ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon it passage and approval.

SUBJECT: CHANGE ORDER #2 AND FINAL PAYMENT - BONNIE BRAE PAVING
& DRAINAGE & SIDEWALK - BID #9977
RECOMMENDATION: We recommend this Change Order to Sunmount
Corporation, in the amount of $6,649.51, be approved by Council
and final payment be made.
SUMMARY: This Change Order is to cover the cost of units above
the estimated quantities in the original bid. The Bonnie Brae
Paving and Drainage project has an overage of $5,831.63, and the
sidewalks project overage is $817.88.
