1989-025NO Aw-0-25 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE FROM AGRICULTURAL (A) TO GENERAL RETAIL (GR) ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION AND USE DESIGNATION FOR THREE ACRES OF LAND LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF U S HIGHWAY 380, 2,100 FEET WEST OF TRINITY ROAD, AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY IN THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF $2000 00 FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, Gerald Brooks has applied for a change in zoning from agricultural (A) to general retail (GR) zoning district classification and use designation for three (3) acres of land as described herein, and WHEREAS, on January 11, 1989, the Planning and Zoning commission recommended approval of the requested change in zoning, NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION I That the zoning district classification and use designation of the three (3) acres of land described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby changed from agricultural (A) to general retail (GR) zoning district classification and use designation under the comprehensive zoning ordinance of the City of Denton, Texas SECTION II That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texas, adopted the 14th day of January, 1969, as an Appendix to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, under ordinance No 69-1, as amended, is further amended to show the change in the zoning district classification herein approved for the property herein described SECTION III That any person violating any provision of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be fined a sum not exceeding $2000 00 Each day that a provision of this ordinance is violated shall constitute a separate and distinct offense SECTION IV That this ordinance shall become effective fourteen (14) days from the date of its passage, and the City Secretary is hereby directed to cause the caption of this ordinance to be published twice in the Denton Record-Chronicle, the official newspaper of the City of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of the date of its passage PASSED AND APPROVED this the4.?/91~0 day of 1989 RAY EP ENS, YOR ATTEST J I' R ' L ERS, CITY SECRETARY APPROVED AS TO LEGAL FORM DEBRA ADAMI DRAYOVITCH, CITY ATTORNEY BY ryv" Z-88-022/Page 2 EXHIBIT "A" Is .R.
