AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CHANGE ORDER TO A
CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF DENTON AND TONTO CONSTRUCTION, INC
FOR AN INCREASE IN THE CONTRACT PRICE, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
WHEREAS, on February 17, 1987, the City awarded a contract
for the construction of certain improvements to the City's Water
Treatment Plant Project in the amount of Three Million Five
Hundred and Ninety-two Dollars ($3,592,000), and
WHEREAS, the City Manager having recommended to the Council
that a change order be authorized to amend such contract with
respect to the scope and price and said change order being in
compliance with the requirements of Chapter 252 of the Local
Government Code, NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON
SECTION I That the change order to the contract between the
City anT -Tonto Construction, Inc , a copy of which is attached
hereto, in the amount of Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty-three
Dollars and Five Cents ($9,963 05), is hereby approved and the
expenditure of funds therefor is hereby authorized
SECTION II That this ordinance shall become effective
imme iate y upon its passage and approval

RECOMIENDATION We recommend this Change Order/Revision be approved for
addition of $9,963 05 and the addition of 10 days completion time
SUMMARY This change order has been approved by the Department, the
Consulting Engineers - Freese and Nichols and the Public Utility Advisory Board This
will increase the total cost to $3,690,346 99, and the completion time will be extended
to July 28, 1988
