1987-2211997L AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DBNTON, TEXAS, MAKING IT UNLAWEUL FOR VEHICLBS T~'AVBLLING NORTHBOUND ON MALONE STREET TO BXECUTB RIGHT TURNS WHEN FACING A STEADY RED SIGNAL AT THE INTBRSBCTION OF MALONE STREET AND UNIVERSITY DRIVE, PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY IN THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE THE COUNCIl OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION I When sxgns are erected glvlng notice thereof, drxvers operatxng motor vehicles xn a northbound dlrectxon on Malone Street shall be prohxblted from makxng rxght turns when facxng a steady red traffic signal at the xntersect~on of Malone Street and Unlversxty Drive between the hours of 7 00 a m and 8 30 a m , and 3 00 p m and 4 00 p m SECTION II Any person adjudged guilty of vxolat~ng the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a m~sdemeanor and punxshed by a f~ne not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200 00) SECTION III That this ordinance shall become effectxve fourteen (14) days from the date of its passage, and the C~ty Secretary xs hereby directed to cause the caption of thxs ordinance to be published twice xn the Denton Record-Chronicle, the official newspaper of the City of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of the date of its passage PASSED AND APPROVED this the /5~ day of~, 1987 RAY ST~I(ENS,!
