AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS ("PLUMBING CODE") TO PROVIDE FOR AMENDMENTS
TO THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, TO PROVIDE FOR ADDITIONS THERETO,
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, PROVIDING FOR A
PENALTY IN A MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF $2,000 00 FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAIN~
SECTION I That Section 17-2 of Chapter 17 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, is hereby amended by
adding a new Subsection (7 1), which said subsection shall
hereafter read as follows
(7 1) Amend Section 802( ) to read
Solvent Cement Plastic Pipe Joints-Plastic pipe and
flttlngs designed to be Joined by solvent cementing
shall comply with appropriate IAPMO ~nstallatlon stan-
dards A cleaner primer must be used and shall have a
readily ldentlflable color The cleaner primer shall
not be clear in color
SECTION II All ordinances or parts of ordinances ~n force
when the provisions of th~s ordinance become effective which are
inconsistent or in conflict with the terms or provisions contained
in this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of any such
conflict
SECTION III Any person who shall violate a provision of
this ordinance, or fails to comply therewith or with any of the
requirements thereof, or of a permit or certificate ~ssued there-
under, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not
exceeding Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000 00) Each such person
shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every
day or portion thereof during which any violation of this ordi-
nance is committed, or continued, and upon conviction of any such
violations such person shall be punished within the limits above
SECTION IV That this ordinance shall become effective
fourteen (14) days from the date o~ ~ts passage, and the City
Secretary is hereby directed to cause the caption of this
ordinance to be published twice in the Denton Record-Chronicle,
the of£1clal newspaper of the City of Denton, Texas, wlthln ten
(10) days o£ the date of ~ts passage
