AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS,
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING ON OCTOBER 1, 1987, AND ENDING ON
SEPTEMBER 30, 1988, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, notlce of a public hearing on the budget for the City
of Denton, Texas, for the fiscal year 1987-88 was heretofore
published at least f~fteen (15) days ~n advance of sa~d public
hearing, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing on the said budget was duly held on
the let day of September, 1987, and all interested persons were
given an opportunity to be heard for or against any item thereof,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I The Budget for the City of Denton, Texas for the
f~scal year beginning on October 1, 1987 and ending on September
30, 1988 prepared by the Clty Manager and filed w~th the C~ty
Secretary, as amended by the City Council, ~s hereby approved and
adopted, a copy of which budget is attached hereto and
incorporated by reference herein
SECTION II That the City Manager is hereby authorized to
transfer the amounts of money contained ~n the Reserve for
Employee Benefit Adjustments as contained in the 1987-88 budget
to the various departments as needed
SECTION III That the City Manager shall cause cop~es of the
budget to be f~led with the City Secretary and the County Clerk
of Denton County
SECTION IV That th~s ordinance shall be effective upon ~ts
passage and approval
