AN ORDINANCE SEITING A DATE, TiME AND PLACE FOR PUBLIC HEARINGS ON
THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY AS DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT
"A" ATTACHED HERETO BY THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND AUTHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARINGS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENFON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I On the ~ day of ~ , 1987, at 7 00
o'clock P M in the City Council Chamb¢~$~5~f the Municipal Build-
lng of the City of Denton, Texas, the City Council will hold a
public hearing giving all interested persons the right to appear
and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Denton,
Texas of the property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
Incorporated by reference herein
On the ~_~_~day of ~J~ , 1987, at 7 00 o'clock P M
in the City Council Chamber~of the Municipal Building of the City
of Denton, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing giv-
ing all interested persons the right to appear and be heard on the
~roposed annexation by the City of Denton, Texas of the property
escrlbed in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated by
reference herein
SECTION II The Mayor of the City of Denton, Texas, is hereby
authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearings to
be published once in a newspaper having general circulation in the
City and in the territory described in Exhibit "A" not more than
twenty days nor less than ten days prior to the date of such
public hearings, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation
Act (Article 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes)
SECTION III This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
immediately following Its passage and approval

ALL that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the M
Forrest Survey, Abst No 417, Denton County, Texas, and more partlcularly
described as follows
BEGINNING at a point ~n of the present city l~mits,sa~d point being the southeast
corner of the tract descrlbed in Ordinance 85-210, Tract 4-B sald point also lying
in the east boundary line of Lot 6, Block B of the subd~vislon of sa~d survey,
same being the west boundary line of Lot 1, Block E of sa~d subdlvis~on, said
point also lying in the north right-of-way l~ne of an east-west publlc road known
as Blagg Rd ,

crossing said Blagg Rd a distance of 47 63 feet to a point lying in the south
right of way line of sa~d Blagg Rd , same being the northeast corner of a 71 782
acre tract described in a deed to Murray W McNett and wife, Irene McNett recorded
in Vol 436, Pg 221 of the D R D C T ;
THENCE south 2° 56' 35" west along the east boundary line of said McNett tract
same being the east boundary line of Lot 6, Block B, passing at 2236 16 feet, more
or less,
the southeast corner of sa~d McNett tract, same being the southeast corner of said
Lot 6, Block B, same being the northeast corner of a tract described in a deed to
Gary Miller, Trustee, recorded in Vol 1677, Pg 562 of the D R D C T , and
continu~ng for a total distance of 2266 16 feet to a point for corner lying in the
ex~sting city limits as established by the tract described in Ordinance No 84-98,

The City o£ Denton, Texas, proposes to institute annexation
proceedings to alter the boundary limits of said City to add the
territory described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and
incorporated by reference herein, to the corporate limits of the
City of Denton
A Public Hearing will be held by and before the ~lt~ Council
