AN ORDINANCE CANVASSING THE RETURNS AND DELLARING THE RESULTS OF
tHE REGULAR MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF DENTON ON APRIL
4, 1987
rHB COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I The City Council finds and declares that the April
4, 1987 regular municipal elect~on was duly ordered for the pur-
pose of electing four (4) councllpersons to the C~ty Council of
the C~ty of Denton, Texas for Places 1, 2, 3, and 4, that proper
not~ce of said election was duly g~ven and elect~on officials
appoInted, that sa~d elect~on was duly held and the returns of
the elect~on officials have been delIvered to the Council, all in
accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter
and ordinances of the C~ty of Denton
SBCTION II The official returns of the election officIals
having been opened, examined and canvassed, the Council hereby
f~nds and declares that 3,200 votes were cast at said elect~on,
and that the votes cast for each place on the Council were as
follows
