AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR PUBLIC HEARINGS
ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY AS DESCRIBED IN
EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED HERETO BY THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH
PUBLIC HEARINGS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
On the At-, day of , 1986, at 7 00 o'clock P M
in the City Council Chambers oe Municipal Building of the
City of Denton, Texas, the City Council will hold a public
hearing giving all interested persons the right to appear and be
heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Denton, Texas of
the property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
incorporated by reference herein
on the th day of , 1986, at 7 00 o'clock P M
in the City ouncil Chambers o e Municipal Building of the
City of Denton, Texas, the City Council will hold a public
hearing giving all interested persons the right to appear and be
heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Denton, Texas of
the property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
incorporated by reference herein
SECTION II
The Mayor of the City of Denton, Texas, is hereby authorized
and directed to cause notice of such public hearings to be
published once in a newspaper having general circulation in the
City and in the territory described in Exhibit "A" not more than
twenty days nor less than ten days prior to the date of such
public hearingsall in accordance with the Municipal Annexation
Act (Article 976a , Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes)
SECTION III
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately
following its passage and approval

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS ON PROPOSED ANNEXATION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO ALL INTERESTED PERSONS THAT
The City of Denton, Texas, proposes to institute annexation
proceedings to alter the boundary limits of said City to add the
territory described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and
incorporated by reference herein, to the corporate limits of the
City of Denton
A Public Hearing will be held by and, before the City Council

FIELD NOTES TO A-30
All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the
County of Denton, State of Texas and being part of the E Pickett survey,
Abstract 1018, the N Britton survey, Abstract 51, the J Rogers survey,
Abstract 1084, the J Rogers survey, Abstract 1085, and the B Rogers survey,
Abstract 1101 and more particularly described as follows;
BEGINNING at a point lying in the intersection of the West R 0 W line of
F M 2181 with the South boundary line of Hickory Creek Road, said point also
being the Northeast corner of a 22 acre tract described in Ordinance No
85-238;
THENCE West along said present city limits and the South boundary line of said
road a distance of 2428 44 feet to a point for a corner
THENCE South 00 42' 50• West along said present city limits and East
boundary line of said B. Rogers survey same being the West boundary line of
the S Venter survey, Abstract 1315, a distance of 823 20 feet to a point;
THENCE South 10 58' 22• West along said city limits part of the way, passing
at 1160.6 feet the Southwest corner of said S Venter survey, Abstract 1315
and continuing for a total distance of 1834 69 feet to a fence corner, same
being the Southeast corner of said B Rogers survey, and the Northeast corner
of said J Rogers survey, Abstract 1085;
THENCE South 010 43' West along the East boundary line of said J Rogers
survey near a fence, a distance of 1743 6 feet to a steel pin at the East
Northeast corner of tract F-556 acquired by the U S Government;
THENCE North 510 14' West along said U S line 700 0 feet to a concrete
monument;
THENCE North 370 23' West along said U S line a distance of 1640 0 feet to
a concrete monument in the North line of said J Rogers, Abstract 1085, same
being the South boundary line of the a Rogers survey, Abstract 1101;
THENCE South 890 57, West passing at 387.85 feet the Southwest corner of
said B. Rogers survey, same being the Southeast corner of said J Rogers
survey, Abstract 1084 continuing along the South boundary line of said J
Rogers survey and said U.S. line a total distance of 882 95 feet to a concrete
monument;
THENCE North 290 551 West along said U S boundary line a distance of 1100 0
feet to a concrete monument;
THENCE North 10 21' East a distance of 175S 74 feet to point for a corner
said point lying in the North boundary line of said J Rogers survey, Abstract

THENCE South 890 05' East along said survey lines in said Hickory Creek
road, a distance of 432 70 feet to a point for a corners
THENCE North, along the West boundary line of a 79 acre tract conveyed by
Charles Seagrave at al to C B Compton by deed dated May 6, 1946 and recorded
in Vol 324 Page 332 of the Deed Records of Denton County, Texas, passing at
1315 75 feet the Northwest corner said tract, same being the Southwest corner
of an 80 acre tract conveyed by Ted Allison et al, to Acme Brick Co by deed
dated October 18, 1963 and recorded in Vol 501 Page 143 of the Deed Records
of Denton County, Texas, and continuing for a total distance of 2631 50 feet
to a point for a corner, same being the Northwest corner of said Acme Brick
Co tract and in the present city limit line as established by Ordinance No
77-5;
THENCE North 880 07' East along the North boundary line of said Acme Brick
tract and said present city limits a distance of 2631 50 feet to a point for
corner in the East boundary line of the said N Britton survey,
THENCE North 10 26' West along present city limits, passing at 2287 8 feet
the Northeast corner of said N Britton survey same being the Southeast corner
of the T Labor survey, Abstract 779, for a total distance of 2607 2 feet to a
point for a corner, same being the Northeast corner of the said T Labor
survey, said point also lying in the present city limits as established by
Ordinance 75-31;
THENCE North 890 38' 56' East along said present city limits and the North
boundary line of the E Pickett survey, Abstract 1018 a distance of 1026 65
feet to a point for a corner, said point lying in the present city limits as
established by Ordinance No 85-28;
THENCE South 00 01' 44' East, along said present city limits, a distance of
1102 64 feet to a point for a corners
THENCE North 890 53' East along said present city limit line, passing at
1299 88 feet the West R 0 W line of F M 2181 and continuing for a total
distance of 1389 88 feet to a point for a corner in the present city limits as
established by Ordinance No 65-43 III, same being the East R 0 W line of
F M 2181;
THENCE South 020 17' East along said present city limits, same being the
East R 0 W line of F M 2181 a distance of 3202 0 feet to a point;
THENCE South 10 17' East along said present city limits, a distance of 960 0
feet to a point for corner;
THENCE West along said present city limits 95 0 feet to place of beginning and
containing 614 6 acres more or less
