AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 24-136 OF CHAPTER 24 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES TO PROVIDE FOR AN ADDITIONAL PARKING SPACE FOR
DISABLED PERSONS ON ROBERTS STREET, PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY IN
THE MINIMUM AMOUNT OF $50 00 AND A MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF $200 00 FOR
VIOLATIONS THEREOF, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That Section 24-136(a) of Chapter 24 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas is hereby amended by
adding a new numbered paragraph (16) to read as follows
(16) One (1) parallel parking space on the south side of
Roberts Street at 718 Roberts Street
SECTION II
Any person adjudged guilty of parking a vehicle in violation
of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished
by a fine of not less than Fifty Dollars ($50 00) nor more than
Two Hundred Dollars ($200 00)
SECTION III
That this ordinance shall become effective fourteen (14)
days from the date of its passage, and the City Secretary is
hereby directed to cause the caption of this ordinance to be
published twice in the Denton Record-Chronicle, the official
newspaper of the City of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of
the date of its passage
