City Launches Engage Denton Mobile App
DENTON, TX,June 18,2018—The City of Denton is launching a three-month pilot program of
an official smart phone and mobile application("app") as a new way for citizens to submit
requests for City services. This new app, Engage Denton, provides new ways for residents,
business, and other community members to interact with the City.
The Engage Denton app allows citizens to submit requests with pictures, track the progress of
those requests, and access other online City services. Users can create an account to track their
submissions and receive timely updates as their request is processed, or the app provides users
the ability to submit requests anonymously. During the pilot, Engage Denton will have a limited
number of service requests available. This is to ensure citizens have a good user experience with
the new app. Data from the pilot program will then be used to direct future expansion of Engage
Denton's functionality.
"We are excited to give Denton residents a new way to engage with their local government and
request City services," said Director of Public Affairs Sarah Kuechler. "This pilot program will
provide us with valuable information as the program is expanded in the future."
The Engage Denton app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play or citizens can
submit requests through the Engage Denton online platform. To submit a request, or to access
