Fire Station 4 Dedication Ceremony
DENTON, TX,June 19,2018—The City of Denton is excited to announce the completion of
Fire Station 4. At 12,980 square feet, the new fire station was designed to be LEED certified,
meaning the station incorporates sustainable elements such as skylight solar tubes to utilize
natural light in the kitchen and Captain's dorm. The station will also have a new medic unit and
six additional firefighters, due in large part to a $1.3 million staffing grant from FEMA.
"With the completion of Fire Station 4 and increased staffing, we are pleased to have the
resources to help us improve response times to fire and medical emergencies in Northeast
Denton," said Chief Kenneth Hedges.
All residents and community members are invited to join us at the dedication ceremony for Fire
Station 4 on Friday, June 22 at 10 a.m. Fire Station 4 is located at 2116 E. Sherman Dr.
