AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE SALE OF 0 390 ACRES OF REAL PROPERTY AS
DESCRIBED HEREIN, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE DOCUMENTS
TRANSFERRING TITLE THERETO, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Denton is the owner of real property as
described herein, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined it would be in the
best interest of the City to dispose of said property, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with state law, public notice of the
intended sale of said property was given, and bids were solicited
and received, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed such bids and accepted
the bid of T M Stingley Corporation, said bid being the highest
bid received for the property,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
DENTON, TEXAS
SECTION I
That the sale of that certain real property owned by the City
of Denton is hereby approved in accordance with the bid submitted
by T M Stingley Corporation in an amount of $1 65 per square
foot, being Twenty Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty-Seven and
No/ 160 ($29,957 00) for all of said property, said property being
more particularly described herein as follows
TRACT I All that certain tract or parcel of land situated in the
Wilms Loving Survey, Abstract Number 759, City and County of
Denton, Texas, and being part of a tract shown by deed to City of
Denton as recorded in Volume 583, page 226 and part of a tract
shown by deed to City of Denton as recorded in Volume 583, Page
350, Deed Records of said County, and being more particularly
described as follows
BEGINNING at a steel pin at the intersection of the north
right-of-way of Highland Street with the east right-of-way of
Carroll Boulevard,
THENCE northwesterly with the east right-of-way of said Carroll
Boulevard and with a curve to right which has a central angle of
06°29'31", a radius of 1950 0 feet and a chord of north 03°50'03"
west, 220 83 feet, an arc distance of 220 95 feet to a steel pin,
THENCE south 87°59'32" east a distance of 87 04 feet to a fence
corner post,
THENCE south 00°16'43" west a distance of 0 63 feet to a fence
corner,
THENCE south 02033'00" west with a fence a distance of 218 60 feet
to a steel pin on the north right-of-way of said Highland Street,
THENCE north 88°25'28" west with the north right-of-way of said
Highland Street a distance of 62 52 feet to the point of beginning
containing in all 0 387 acres of land

Denton, Texas, and being part of a tract shown by deed to City of
Denton as recorded in Volume 583, Page 350, Deed Records of said
County, and being more particularly described as follows
BEGINNING at a steel pin on the east right-of-way of said Carroll
Boulevard where it intersects with the north line of said City of
Denton Tract,
THENCE south 87°59'32" east with a fence a distance of 87 21 feet
to a fence corner,
THENCE south 00°16'43" west with fence a distance of 15 00 feet to
a point for corner,
THENCE north 87°59'32" west a distance of 87 04 feet to a steel
pin on the east right-of-way of said Carroll Boulevard,
THENCE northwesterly with said right-of-way and with a curve to
right which has a central angle of 00°26'28", a radius of 1950 0
feet and an arc distance of 15 01 feet to the Point of Beginning
containing in all 0 030 acres of land
SECTION II
That upon receipt by the City of Denton of the amount stated
above, the Mayor is authorized to execute a deed conveying title
to said property to T M Stingley Corporation
SECTION III
That this ordinance shall
