AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A SETTLEMENT
AGREEMENT WITH SANDRA APPLEWHITE, AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF
FUNDS THEREFORE, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a
settlement agreement in the litigation styled Applewhite v The
City of Denton, et al in accordance with the terms-Terew
SECTION II
That the expenditure of funds in the amount of Forty Thousand
and No/100 Dollars ($40,000) is hereby authorized
SECTION III
That the settlement agreement shall, in no way, constitute an
admission by the City of Denton as to the validity of any of the
issues raised by the Plaintiff in said litigation
SECTION IV
That this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage and approval
