NO AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR PUBLIC HEARINGS ON
THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY AS DESCRIBED HEREIN BY
THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR
TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARINGS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
On the ay of 1985, at 7 00 o'clock P M
in the City ouncil Cham ers o e unicipal Building of the City
of Denton, Texas, the City ouncil will hold a public hearing
giving all interested persons the right to appear and be heard on
the proposed annexation by the City of Denton, Texas of the
property described below

in the City Council Chambers o e municipal Building of the City
of Denton, Texas, the City Co cil will hold a public hearing
giving all interested persons the right to appear and be heard on
the proposed annexation by the City of Denton, Texas of the
following described property, to-wit
All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated
in the County of Denton, State of Texas, being part of the John A
Burns Survey, Abstract 130 and the Thomas Polk Survey, Abstract
999 and more particularly described as follows
BEGINNING at a point in the present city limits as established in
Ordinance No 74-36, Tract III, said point lying 500 feet west of
and perpendicular to the center line of FM 2164, said point also
lying north 88°21'35" west 456 75 feet from the southeast corner
of a tract conveyed to J A Williams by deed recorded in Volume
425, Page 207 and the west right-of-way line of FM 2164,
THENCE north 88°21'35" west, a distance of 2,030 03 feet to a
point for a corner,
THENCE north 2°41'32" west, crossing the north boundary line of
said Polk Survey, same being the south boundary line of said Burns
Survey, a distance of 2,133 33 feet to a point for a corner,
THENCE south 87°54'50" west, a distance of 734 43 feet to a point
for a corner, in the west boundary line of said Burns Survey, same
being the southwest corner of the E Prichett Survey, Abstract
1025 and the northeast corner of the J Stewart Survey, Abstract
1150,
THENCE north 2°56'57" west along said survey lines, a distance of
1,281 39 feet to a point for a corner,
THENCE north 88°24'36" east, a distance of 1,427 61 feet to a
point,
THENCE north 88°23'11" east, a distance of 1,295 36 feet to a
point for a corner in said present city limits,
THENCE south 3°22'23" east, 500 feet west of and parallel to the
center line of FM 2164, a distance of 3,524 23 feet to the place
of beginning and containing 180 98 acres of land, more or less

SECTION II
The Mayor of the City of Denton, Texas, is hereby authorized
and directed to cause notice of such public hearings to be
published once in a newspaper having general circulation in the
City and in the above described territory not more than forty days
nor less than twenty days prior to the date of such public
hearings, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act
(Article 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes)
SECTION III
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately
following its passage and approval

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS ON PROPOSED ANNEXATION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO ALL INTERESTED PERSONS THAT
The City of Denton, Texas, proposes to institute annexation
proceedings to alter the boundary limits of said City to add the
following described territory to the corporate limits of the City of
Denton, to-wit
All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in
the County of Denton, State of Texas, being part of the John A Burns
Survey, Abstract 130 and the Thomas Polk Survey, Abstract 999 and more
particularly described as follows
BEGINNING at a point in the present city limits as established in
