Notice of Meeting for Public Comment on Industrial Street Pocket Park
City Hall, July 19 at 6 p.m.
DENTON, TX,July 11,2018—The City of Denton Parks and Recreation Department invites
interested members of the community to attend a public meeting to provide input on concept
plans for the development of the Industrial Street Pocket Park.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 19 in the City Council Work Session Room
at City Hall. Gary Packan, Parks and Recreation Director, and staff will lead the meeting and
present the concept plan reviewed and recommended by City Council and the Park Advisory
Board.
Industrial Street Park is a vacant 60' x 100' lot located at 108 Industrial St. and is surrounded by
restaurants, nightlife, and residential units. Four concept plans were presented to City Council on
June 26 for consideration with cost estimates for development ranging from $315,000 to
$657,000. Funding has been identified for up to $500,000.
