This on our conversation of November 30, 1984 and information It is anticipated that within the first year of operation a total of four phases will be completed in Area 1. Consequently four soils and liner evaluation reports will be required by the Texas Department of Health. Rome Engineers has proposed costs anticipated for the initial excavation (see Proposal No. 6-11, dated June 201 1984). Consequently, this proposal outlines cost estimates for the remaining three phases to be completed in the first year of operation. The soils and liner quality control plan of the permit application requires specific testing and quantities. These tests are listed below: 1. Auger borings in a 100-foot grid to verify clay thickness= 2. One in-place density each 10,000 s.f. in each 8-inch lift, 3. Percent passing No. 200 sieve each five in-place densities and at least one per lift in each areal 4. Permeability each 16-inch depth for every 10 in-place density tests and at least once per every two lifts; 5. Atterberg limits in each 8-inch lift once per every 5 field density tests and at least once per lift; 6. Total liner thickness verified once in each 5,000 s.f. of surface area. City of Denton Decenber 5, 1984 Page Two COST FOR SERVICES We will perform the services in accordance with the attached schedule of fees. Based on the above quantity of work and the attached schedule, the total cost of each investigation should be on the order of $2,000.00 to 82,100.00. For budget purposes, a maxim= cost of 82,200.00 is recommended. This cost will not exceeded without prior authorization. Considering a total of three additional phases or excavation areas to be completed within the one year time period, total cost of the investigations should be on the order of 86,500.00. Thank you for the Opportunity to present this proposal. Please sign and return one copy as your authorization to proceed. We look forward to working with you on the project.
