AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CERTAIN FEES TO BE PAID TO THE CITY OF
DENTON, TEXAS AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
The following fees AS SHOWN ON Exhibit "A" attached hereto
are hereby established and shall be paid to the City of Denton,
Texas
SECTION II
This ordinance shall become effective upon its passage and
approval

ordinance, and the fee schedule shall be available for public inspection at the offices of the
Budding Official and the City Secretary
SECTION III. That Chapter 28, Section 28-28(7) of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Denton is hereby amended so that smd section shall hereafter be and read as follows
(7) Section 108 8 Relnspecttons The fourth paragraph of section 108 8 ~s amended to
read as follows
To obtain a remspectlon, the applicant shall pay the applicable relnspectlon fee as set by
City Council by ordinance and then request an inspection in the manner prescribed by the
building official
The fee schedule shall be available for public inspection at the offices of the Building Official
and the City Secretary
SIECTION IV. That Chapter 28, Sections 28-28(9)a and 28-28(9)b (1) - (7) of the Code
of Ordinances of the City of Denton are hereby amended so that sa~d section shall hereafter be
and read as follows

of Denton is hereby amended so that smd section shall hereafter be and read as follows
(10) Permit Fee Schedule for New One- and Two-Famdy Dwelhngs
The Clty Collnell shall set a fee schedule for new one and two-famdy dwellings by
ordinance and the fee schedule shall be available for public inspection at the offices of the
Bmldmg Official and the City Secretary
~ That Chapter 28, Sections 28-121(1) - (12) of the Code of Ordinances of
the City of Denton is hereby amended so that smd section shall hereafter be and read as follows
Sec 28-121 Inspection fees
The applicant shall submit the applicable electrical inspection fees as set by City Council
by separate ordinance before the issuance of any permit reqmrcd by this division The tee
schedule shall be, avmlable for pubhc inspection at the offices of the Braiding Officml and the
City Secretary
SECTION VII That Chapter 28, Section 28 210(0 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Denton is hereby amended so that said section shall hereafter be and read as follows, and
that Section 28-210(g) is hereby deleted
(f) The applicant shall pay for each permit issued, at the time of issuance a
plumbing permit fee as set by City Council by ordinance and the fee schedule shall be available
for public inspection at the offices of the Building Official and the City Secretary
SECTION VIII. That Chapter 28, Sections 28-252(9) and (10) of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Denton is hereby amended so that said section shall hereaiter be and read as
follows
(9) Mechantcal Permtt Fees Table No I-A Mechamcal Permit Fees is amended to
read as follows
The applicant shall submit the applicable mechamcal permit fees as set by City
Council by ordinance and the fee schedule shall be avmlable for public inspection at the
offices of the Bmlchng Official and the City Secretary
(10) Table 1-A Other Inspections and Fees Table No 1 A is amended to read as
follows

for public inspection at the offices of the Bmlchng Official and the City Secretary
~ That Chapter 28, Section 28-297(3) of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Denton is hereby amended so that smd section shall hereafter be and read as follows

The apphcant shall submit the applicable fee for a swimming pool as set by City
Council by ordinance and the fee schedule shall be avmlable for public inspection at the
offices of the Building Official and the City Secretary
SECTION X. That chapter 28 of the Code of Orrhnances, of the City of Denton, Texas is
hereby amended by the addition of Section 28-32 to be hereafter read as follows
Sec 28-32 Exemptions from fees
Not w~thstandmg any other prows~on of th~s Chapter or the Bmld~ng Code, the Ctty of
Denton and any other poht~cal subd~wsmn or agency of the State of Texas or the Umted States
Govermnent shall be exempt from payment of any fees reqmred by th~s chapter
~ That Ordinances 83-129 and 90-161 of the Ctty of Denton are hereby
repealed
~ That the Fee Schedules set forth m Exhibit 'A , contmmng Tables 1 A,
l-B, 2, 3-A, 3-B, 3-C, 4, 5, and 6, attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes, ~s
hereby adopted and authorized to be ~mposed for the fihng of appheatmns, rewew, approval
grant or ~ssuance of permits, mspecttons, hcenses, certfficates variances or designations reqmred
by the "Braidings and Bmldmg Regulat~ons"and "S~gn and Advertising Devices" as authorized
by Chapters 28 and 33 respectively, of the Code of Ordinances of the C~ty of Denton
~ That ttus ordinance shall repeal every prior ordinance m conflict
herewith, but only insofar as the port,on of such prior ordtnance shall be ~n conflict, and as to all
other secttons of the ordinance not m d~rect confltct herewith, this ordinance shall be and ~s
hereby made cumulattve except as to such prior ordinances or port~ons thereof as are expressly
repealed hereby
