1983-116AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE ON THE PROPOSED
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH
PUBLIC HEARING
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I.
On the /~ay of ~, 1983, at 7 00 o'clock
P M in the City Council Chambers of the Munlclpal Bu~ldlng of
the City of Denton, Texas, the C~ty Council w~ll hold a puDl~c
hearlng g~vlng all ~nterested persons the r~ght to appear and be
heard on the proposed annexation by the C~ty of Denton, Texas of
the property described below
P M ~n the C~ty Council Chamber of the Municipal Building of
the C~ty of Denton, Texas, the City Councll w~ll hold a public
hearing giving all ~nterested persons the r~ght to appear and be
heard on the proposed annexation by the C~ty of Denton, Texas of
the following described property, to-w~t
Ail that certain tract or parcel of land lylng and being situated
· n the County of Denton, State of Texas, and being part of the
O Brewster Survey, Abstract No 56 and being more particularly
described as follows
BEGINNING at a point ~n the present city l~m~ts said point lying
at the ~ntersect~on of the west boundary l~ne of the tract
described in Ordinance No 69-40 w~th the southeast corner of
the tract described ~n Ordinance No 80-56, sa~d point also
lying 500 feet west of and perpendicular to the centerl~ne of
I H 35W,
THENCE south 22°01'02'' west along sa~d present c~ty l~mlts as
established by Ordinance 69-40 and 500 feet west of and parallel
w~th the centerl~ne of I }{ 35W, a distance of 1427 56 feet to a
point for a corner ~n the south boundary of a tract described ~n
Volume 725, Page 365 of the Deed Records of Denton County, Texas,
THENCE north 89°38'30'' west along the south boundary l~ne of
sa~d tract a d~stance of 1208 37 feet to a point for a corner,
same being the southwest corner of sa~d tract,
THENCE north 2"42' east along the west boundary l~ne of said
tract a d~stance of 1322 74 feet to a point for a corner in the
present city l~m~ts as established by Ordinance No 80-67,
THENCE south 89~49' east along the present city limits a distance
of 1681 22 feet to the place of beginning and containing 43 9
acres of land, more or less
SECTION II
The Mayor of the Cxty of Denton, Texas, is hereby authorized
and d~rected to cause not~¢e of such public hearing to be
published once ~n a newspaper hav~ng general c~rculat~on ~n the
C~ty and ~n the above described territory not more than forty
days nor less than twenty days prior to the date of such public
hearing, all ~n accordance w~th the Municipal Annexation Act
(Article 970a, Vernon's Texas C~v~l Statutes)
SECTION III
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately
following its passage and approval

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON CONTEMPLATED ANNEXATION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO ALL INTERESTED PERSONS THAT
The City of Denton, Texas, proposes to institute annexation
proceedings to alter the boundary llmlts of sa~d City to add the
following described territory to the corporate limits of the
City of Denton, to-wit
Ail that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated
in the County of Denton, State of Texas, and being part of the
0 Brewster Survey, Abstract No 56 and being more particularly
described as follows
BEGINNING at a point ~n the present city l~m~ts sa~d point lying
at the intersection of the west boundary line of the tract
described In Ordinance No 69-40 with the southeast corner of
the tract described in Ordinance No 80-56, said point also
lying 500 feet west of and perpendlcular to the centerl~ne of
I H 35W,
THENCE south 22°01'02'' west along sa~d present city llm~ts as
established by Ordinance 69-40 and 500 feet west of and parallel
