AN ORDI,NANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE ON THE PROPOSED
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH
PUBLIC HEARING
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
On the /~-r~t'day of ~~___, 1983, at 7 00 o'clock
P M ~n t~e City Council Chamber of the Municipal Building of
the C~ty of Denton Texas, the City Council will hold a public
hearlng glvlng all lnterested persons the rlght to appear and be
heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Denton, Texas of
the property described below

the C~ty of Denton, Texas, the City Council will hold a publlc
hearing glving all lnterested persons the rlght to appear and be
heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Denton, Texas of
the following described property, to-wit
Ail that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being
sltuated In the County of Denton, State of Texas, and being part
of the O Brewster Survey, Abstract No 56, A Thompk~ns Survey,
Abstract No 1246, A Hlckman Survey, Abstract No 521 and the
J Edmonson Survey, Abstract No 400 anO being more particularly
described as follows
BEGINNING at a point ~n the present c~ty l~m~ts as established
by Ordlnance No 60-40, said point lying in the lntersectlon of
the west r~ght-of-way llne of the G C & S F Railroad w~th the
south boundary line of the A Hlckman Survey, Abstract No 521,
THENCE west along the south boundary line of said Hlckman
Survey, a d~stance of 1730 feet, more or less, to a point for a
corner, same being the southwest corner of the sa~d H~ckman
Survey,
THENCE north along the west boundary l~ne of the said H~ckman
Survey, a distance of 2130 feet, more or less, to a point for a
corner lying In an east and west county road (Roselawn),
THENCE west along the center of sa~d county road a distance of
1880 feet, more or less, to a point for a corner ~n the west
boundary line of the J Edmonson Survey, Abstract No 400 and
the east boundary line of the W Sa3vls Survey, Abstract No
1174,
THENCE north along the east boundary l~ne of W Sa]v~s Survey, a
distance of 1100 feet, more or less, to a point for a corner,
same belng the northeast corner of the W Sa]v~s Survey, sa~d
point also lylng in an east and west county road,
THENCE west along the north boundary l~ne of the W Sa3vls
Survey, same bexng in the sald county road a O~stance of 1500
feet, more or less, to a point for a corner ~n the present c~ty
llmlts ,as establlshed by Ordinance No 69-40 Tract II, said
point also ly/ng 500 feet east of and perpendicular to the
centerl~ne of I H 35W,
THENCE north 26°51'40'' east along said present city llmlts
1244 96 feet, more or less, to a point,
THENCE north 20"50'12" east along said present c~ty llmlts a
d~stance of 3827 79 feet, more or less, to a point for a corner
in the west r~ght-of-way l~ne of the G C & S F Railroad,
THENCE southeasterly along the present city limits as
established by Ordinance No 60-40 same being the west
r~ght-of-way line of the G C & S F Railroad a distance of
9373 85 feet, more or less, to the place of beginning and
containing 367 acres of land, more or less
SECTION II
The Mayor of the City of Denton, Texas, ~s hereby authorized
and directed to cause not~ce of such public hearing to be
published once in a newspaper having general c~rculatlon ~n the
City and in the above described territory not more than forty
days nor less than twenty days prior to the date of such public
hearing, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act
(Article 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes)
SECTION III
Th~s ordinance shall be in full force and effect lmmedlately
following ~ts passage and approval

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON CONTEMPLATED ANNEXATION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO ALL INTERESTED PERSONS THAT
The Clty of Denton, Texas, proposes to ~nst~tute annexation
proceedlngs to alter the boundary llmlts of said City to add the
following described territory to the corporate limits of the
C~ty of Denton, to-wit
Ail that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being
situated In the County of Denton, State of Texas, and being part
of the O Brewster Survey, Abstract No 56, A Thompklns Survey,
Abstract No 1246, A Hlckman Survey, Abstract No 521 and the
J Edmonson Survey, Abstract No 400 and being more particularly
described as follows
BEGINNING at a point in the present city limits as established
by Ordlnance No 60-40, said point lying in the intersection of
the west right-of-way line of the G C & S F Railroad with the
south boundary line of the A Hlckman Survey, Abstract No 521,
THENCE west along the south boundary l~ne of sa~d Hlckman
Survey, a distance of 1730 feet, more or less, to a point for a
corner, same being the southwest corner of the said Hlckman
Survey,
THENCE north along the west boundary line of the said H~ckman
