ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH
PUBLIC HEARING
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
On the~/~day of~~~__, 1983, at 7 00 o'clock
P M in the City Council--Chamber of the Municipal Building of
the Clty of Denton, Texas, the C~ty Council will hold a public
hearing glvlng all interested persons the r~ght to appear and be
heard on the proposed annexatIon by the City of Denton, Texas of
the property described below
On the /~7~day of ~~ 1982, at 7 00 o'clock
P M ~n the City Council Chamber of the Municipal Building of
the City of Denton, Texas, the City Council will hold a public
hearlng giving all ~nterested persons the r~ght to appear and be
heard on the proposed annexation by the C~ty of Denton, Texas of
the following described property, to-wit
All that certain tract or parcel of land lylng and being
situated in the County of Denton, State of Texas, being part of
the J Taft Survey, Abstract No 1256, J White Survey, Abstract
No 1433, D Hough Survey, Abstract No 646, D Lambert Survey,
Abstract No 784, M E P & P R R Survey, Abstract No 950 and
the G Walker Survey, Abstract No 1330 and more particularly
described as follows
BEGINNING at a polnt ~n the present c~ty l~m~ts as established
by Ordinance No 65-43 Tract II, said point also lying at the
intersection of the east rlgnt-of-way line of Mayhlll Road with
a point 750 feet northeast of and perpendlcular to the
centerllne of I H 35E,
THENCE northwesterly along sa~d present city l~mlts, 750 feet
northeasterly of and parallel with the centerl~ne of I H 35E an

the present city limits,

southeasterly of and parallel with the east right-of-way line of

SSCTION II
The Mayor of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, ~s hereby authorized
and d~rected to cause notlce of such publzc hearing to be
published once ina newspaper havlng general c~rculat~on ~n the
Clty and in the above descrlbed territory not more than forty
days nor less than twenty days prior to the date of such public
hearing, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act
(Article 970a, Vernon's Texas C~vll Statutes)

ThlS ordlnance shall be in full force and effect lmmedlately
following its passage and approval

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO ALL INTERESTED PERSONS THAT
The City of Denton, Texas, proposes to institute annexation
proceedings to alter the boundary limits of said City to add the
following described territory to the corporate limits of the
City of Denton, to-wit
Ail that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being
situated in the County of Denton, State of Texas, being part of
the J Taft Survey, Abstract No 1256, J White Survey, Abstract
No 1433, D Hough Survey, Abstract NO 646, D Lambert Survey,
Abstract No 784, M E P & P R R Survey, ADstract No 950 and
the G Walker Survey, Abstract No 1330 and more particularly
described as follows
BEGINNING at a point in the present clty limits as established
by Ordinance No 65-43 Tract II, said point also lying at the
lnterseGtlon of the east right-of-way lIne of Mayh~ll Road with
a point 750 feet northeast of and perpendicular to the center
line of I H 35E,
THENCE northwesterly along said present city limits, 750 feet
northeasterly of and parallel with the centerllne of I H 35E an
