1983-108AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE 1982-83 BUDGET OF THE CITY OF DENTON,
TEXAS, BY INCREASING THE GENERAL FUND/FINANCE DEPARTMENT ACCOUNT
BY THE SUM OF $154,168 00, PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION HEREOF,
AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 8 08 of the Charter of the C1ty of
Denton, Texas, the City Council is authorized to amend the
orlglnal budget upon the afflrmatlve vote of at least five (5)
members of the Council ~n cases of grave public necessity, and
WHEREAS, emergency expenditures are necessary to meet unusual
and unforeseen conditions which, by diligent thought and
attention could not have been included In the orlglnal budget,
now, therefore,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
The 1982-83 Budget of the City of Denton, Texas ~s Hereby
amended by appropriating the sum of $154,168 00 for the
following extra-ordinary expenditures
Lawsuit Settlement $129,168 00
Revenue Fee Study 25,000 00
Total $154,168 00
SECTION II
That the City Secretary is directed to attach a copy of this
ordinance to the original budget and cause this amendment to be
publlshed once ~n the Denton Record Chronicle
SECTION III
That this ordinance shall become effectlve immediately from
and after ~ts date of passage, and ~t ~s so ordained
