1983-106AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 12, ARTICLE II, SECTION 12-19(b)
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON RELATING TO
RESIDENTIAL SANITATION RATES, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN
CONFICT! AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That Section 12-19(b) of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Denton is hereby amended to read as follows
"(b) The charge for collecting garbage, trash and
rubbish from each lndlvldual family unit shall be
Slx Dollars and Seventy-Five Cents ($6 75) for a
thirty day perlod Ail such fees are sub3ect to
being increased by the sanitation division ~f more
than the minimum service is required"
SECTION II
That if any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence,
clause, phrase or word in th~s ordinance, or application thereof
to any person or circumstances is held ~nvalld by any court of
competent ]urlsdlctlon, such holding shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portlons of th~s ordinance, and the
C~ty Council of the City of Denton, Texas hereby declares it
would have enacted such remaining portions despite any such
invalidity
SECTION III
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances ~n force when the
provlsllons of this ordinance become effective which are
inconsistent or in conflict with the terms or provisions
contained In this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of
any such conflict
SECTION IV
That this ordinance shall become effective October 1, 1983,
and the City Secretary is hereby directed to cause the caption
of this ordinance to be published twice in the Denton
Record-Chronicle, the official newspaper of the C~ty of Denton,
Texas, within ten (10) days of the date of its passage
