AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICh OF SUCH
PUBLIC HEARING
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HBREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
On the ~'day of __~, 1983, at ~ o'clock
at the intersection of Jlm//Ch-~stal Road and Hickory Creek, the
City Council of the City ~of Denton, fexas will hold a public
hearing giving all interested persons the r~ght to appear and be
heard on the proposed annexation by the C~ty of Denton, Texas of
the property described below
On the ~day of ~/~ , 1982, at 7 00 o'clock P M
in the Clty~ncll Ch~e Municipal Building of the
City of Denton, Texas, ~he City Council will hold a public
hearing giving all interested persons the r~ght to appear and be
heard on the proposed annexation by the C~ty of Denton, lexas of
the following described property, to-wit
All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being
s~tuated ~n the County of Denton, State of Texas, and being part
of the W Daws Survey, Abstract No 377, G Meyers Survey,
Abstract No 845 and the A Miller Survey, Abstract No 887 and
being more particularly descrIbed as follows
BBGINNING at a point in the present c~ty limits as established
by Ordinance No 69-40, Tract I, said point lying ~n east
boundary line of said Davis Survey, sa~d point also being an
~nner ell corner of a tract of land conveyed to Denton
Properties Joint Venture by deed recorded ~n Volume 1191, Page
521, said point also being the northeast corner of a tract of
land conveyed to Malcolm M Long by deed recorded in Volume 389,
Page 389 of the Deed Records of Denton County, Texas,
THENCB south 89°28'15" west 2559 9Z feet to a point for a
corner,
THENCE north 0005'54'' west 600 48 feet to a point for a corner,
THENCE west 5295 60 feet to a point for a corner in the east
line of Wolfe Road,
THENCE north 0o15' east 2664 $5 feet along the east l~ne of
Wolfe Road to a point for a corner ~n the center of Jim Christal
Road,
THENC~ along the center of Jim Christal Road the follow~ng
fourteen courses and distances (1) north 89°0' east 1530 0

the beginning of a curve, (8) southeasterly 80 29 feet along

(10) southeasterly 260 60 feet along said curve to the left

established by Ordinance No 69-40, Tract I,
THENCE south along the present city llmlts a distance of 2985 52
feet to the place of beginning and containing 491 13 acres of
land, more or less
SECTION II
The Mayor of the City of Denton, Texas, is hereby authorized
and d~rected to cause not~ce of such public hearing to be
published once in a newspaper having general circulation in the
City and in the above described territory not more than forty
days nor less than twenty days prior to the date of such public
hearing, all ~n accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act
(Article 970a, Vernon's Texas Clwl StatutesJ
SECTION III
Thls ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately
following ~ts passage and approval
