AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF A
TRACT OF LAND DEDICATED FOR UTILITY AND STREET RIGHT OF WAY
WITHIN THE CITY OF DENTON AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
QUITCLAIM DEED CONVEYING ALL RIGHT, TITLE AND INTEREST OF THE
CITY IN SAID LAND TO THE OWNER OF THE ADJACENT TRACT OF LAND,
AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Denton, acting
pursuant to law, and upon the request and petition of the
grantee herein, deems it advisable to abandon and convey the
hereinafter described tract of land to grantee and is of the
opinion that said portion of land Is not needed for public use,
and that same should be abandoned and qultclalmed to George
Attaway, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Denton is of the
opinion that the best interest and welfare of the public will be
served by abandoning and conveying the same to George Attaway,
for the consideration hereinafter more fully set forth, now,
therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON
SECTION I
That the following described tract o~ land in the City of
Denton be and the same is hereby abandoned, vacated and closed
insofar as the right, title and interest of the public are
concerned
All that certain tract or parcel of land ~ltuated in the C
Poullaller Survey, Abstract No 1007, City and County of Denton,
Texas, being a part of a (called) 7 527 acre tract described in
a deed from Joe P Farina to Mlchle J Thaten on March 24, 1972,
recorded in Volume 642, Page 100, Deed Records of Denton County,
Texas and being more fully described as follows
BEGINNING at a steel pin at the northeast corner of said 7 527
acre tract in Teasley Lane,
THENCE south l°16'06'' west with the east boundary line of sa~d
7 527 acre tract in Teasley Lane a distance of 69 50 feet to a
steel pin at the beginning of a curve,
THENCE southwesterly around a curve to the right having a
central angle of 90°03'11'', a chord bearing and distance of
south 46°17'41'' west 35 37 feet, a raOlus of 25 0 feet and an
arc length of 39 29 feet to a steel pin on the north right of
way of Londonderry lane and at the southeast corner of Lot 1,
Block B of the Replat of Teasley Mall Subdivision, Plat of which
is recorded in Volume 13, Page 17, Plat Records of Denton
Countyw Texas,
THENCE north 88°40'43'' west with the north boundary line of
Londonderry Lane a distance of 20 0 feet to a steel pin,
THENCE northeasterly wlth the east boundary l~ne of sa~d Lot 1
and a curve to the left having a central angle of 90~03'11'', a
chord of north 46°17'41'' east 35 37 feet, a radius of 25 0 feet,
and an arc length of 39 29 feet to a steel pin,
THENCE north l°16'06'' east a distance of 69 31 feet to a steel
p~n at the northeast corner of Lot 1, Block B of Teasley Mall

of beginning, contalnxng in all 0 0454 acre of land
ShCTION II
That the Mayor and C~ty Secretary are hereby authorized to
execute and del~ver that certain quitclaim deed attached hereto
and ~ncorporated here~n conveying sa~d tract of land described
there~n to George Attaway
SECTION III
That port~on of the tract of land here~n described being
vacated, abandoned, and closed ~s made subject to all existing
zoning regulations and deed restrictions, ~f any, and subject to
all ex~stxng easement rights of others, ~f any, whether apparent
or not
SECTION IV
Th~s ordinance shall take effect and be ~n full force and
effect from and after the date of ~ts passage, and ~t ~s so
ordained
