ITS INTERSECTION WITH LOCUST S~RE~, PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE, PROVIDING A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRSD DOLLARS,
AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
TH5 COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HSREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person
shall park a vehicle at any time upon the following street
the City of Denton to-wit
The south s~de of Third Street from its intersection
with Elm Street to its intersection w~th Locust Street
SECTION II
The provisions of Section I prohibiting the parklng of
vehicles shall upply at all times to the street and part of
streets des~gnateO therein except when it is necessary to stop a
vehicle to avoid conflict w~th other traffic or ~n compllunce
with the d~rectlon of a police ofilcer or official traffic
control device
SSCTION III
Any person ad]udged gullty of parking a vehicle in vlolat~on
of this ordinance shall be gullty of a m~sdemeanor and punished
by a fine not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200 00)
SECTION IV
That if any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence,
clause, phrase or word in this ordinance, or application thereof
to any person or circumstance is held ~nvalla by any court of
competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance, and the
City Council of the Clty of Denton, ~exas, hereby oeclares
would have enacted such remaining portions despite any such
invalidity

SSCTION V
That this ordinance shall become e£fect~ve fourteen (14)
days from the date of ~ts passage, and the City Secretary is
hereby d~rected to cause the caption of thls ordinance to be
published twlce in the Denton RecorG-£hronlcle, the oiflclal
newspaper of the Clty of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days o~
the date of ~ts passage j~ ~
