1983-002AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE ON THE PROPOSED
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH
PUBLIC HEARING
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
On the day of ~~, 1983, at
o'clock ~_ M on the nort'~-~--~nson Roao approximately
1,850 fe~et east of the lntersectlon of' Robinson Roaa and FM 2168
(Teasley Lane), the City Councll will hold a public hearing
g~vlng all lnterested persons the right to appear and be heard
on the proposed annexatlon by the City of Denton, Texas of the
property descrlbed below

All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being
s~tuated in the County of Denton, State of Texas, and being part
of the J Flsher Survey, Abstract No 421, B Lewis Survey,
Abstract No 769, M E P & P R R Survey, Abstract No 950, E
Pickett Survey, Abstract No 1018 and the S Hembrie Survey,
Abstract No 643 and belng more par tlcularly descr 1bed as
follows
BEGINNING at a point 5 feet east of and perpendicular to the
east rlght of way l~ne of Teasley Lane (FM 2181), said point
also lying in the present clty limits line as established by
Ordinance No 65-43, Tract III and the southwest corner of the
land described in Ordlnance No 74-35,
THENCE south 87"39'11" east along the present city l~mlts as
established by Ordinance No 74-35, a d~stance of 3559 feet to a
point for a corner, same being the southeast corner of the land
descrlbed in Ordinance No 74-35 and the west boundary line of
the land descrlbed in Ordinance No 74-34,
THENCE south along the present clty limits as established by
Ordinance No 74-34, a distance of approximately 1921 feet, more
or less, to a polnt, same belng the southwest corner of the land
described in Ordinance No 74-34 and the westerly northwest
corner of the land descrxbed in Ordinance No 77-18,
THENCE south along the present c~ty limits as established by
Ordinance No 77-18, a distance of 2454 feet to a point for a
corner, same being the southwest corner of the land described in
Ordinance No 77-18,
THENCE north 84"19' east along the present city l~mlts as
established by Ordinance No 77-18, a ~stance of 3249 71 feet

THENCE north 2°58' east along the present clt/y limits as
established by Ordinance No 77-18, a distance of ~92 7 feet to
a point for a corner, said point being the northerly northwest
corner of the land described in Ordinance No 78-28, Exhibit
"C", said point also lying in the southwest rlght of way line of
State School Road,
THENCE south 21°19 east along the southwest r~ght of way l~ne of
State school Road, same being the present city limits as
established by Ordinance No 78-28, Exhibit C", a distance of
172 7 feet to a point for a corner,
THENCE 39°18' east along the southwest r~ght of way line of said
road, same being the present city limits as established by
Ordinance No 78-28, Exhibit "C", a dlstance of 697 1 feet to a
point for a corner,
THENCE 17°06' east along the present clty limits as established
by Ordinance No 78-28, Exhlblt "C", a distance of 151 7 feet to
a point for a corner, said point lying 10 feet west of the
Denton-Corinth common jurisdiction line and also being 10 feet
west and 53 7 feet south of the northwest corner of the L Young
Survey, Abstract No 1451,
THENCE south along the present city limits as established by
Ordinance No 78-28, Exhibit "C", and 10 feet west of and
parallel with the Denton-Corinth common ]urlsdictlon l~ne a
distance Of 1651 5 feet to a point for a corner ~n the north
right of way line of Robinson Road, sa~d point also being 25
feet north of the south boundary l~ne of the S Hembrle Survey,
Abstract No 643;
THENCE south 88"58' west along the present city limits same
being the north right of way line of Robinson Road an~ 25 feet
north of and parallel with the Denton-Corinth common
jurisdiction line a distance of 830 feet to a point for a corner,
THENCE west along the north right of way line of Robinson Road a
distance of 4190 78 feet to a polnt for a corner, sald point
lying in the present city limits as established by Ordinance No
65-43, Tract III, said point also lying 5 feet east of and
perpendicular to the east right of way line of Teasley lane (FM
2181),
THENCE north and west along the present city limits whlch lies 5
feet east of and parallel with the east r~ght of way llne of
Teasley Lane (FM 2181) the following 10 courses and distances
(1) north 2°07' west 298 5 feet to the beginning of a curve to
the left with a chord bearing and distance of north 18"19' west,
827 25 feet, central angle of 32~24' and a radius of 1482 57
feet, (2) northwesterly along said curve an arc distance of
838 37 feet, (3) north 34"31' west 751 8 feet to the beginning
of a curve to the r~ght with a chord bearlng and distance of
north 27"56' west 718 9 feet, central angle of 14°10' and a
radius of 2914 93 feet, (4) northwesterly along said curve an
arc distance of 720 73 feet, (5) north 20~21' west 815 1 feet to
the beginning of a curve to the left w~th a chord bearing and
dlstance of north 26"21' west, 609 35 feet, central angle of 12~

SECTION II
The Mayor of the City of Denton, Texas, is hereby authorized
and d~rected to cause not~ce of such public hearing to be
published once in a newspaper having general circulation in the
City and ~n the above described terrltory not more than forty
days nor less than twenty days prior to the date of such public
hearing, all ~n accordance w~th the Munlc~pal Annexation Act
(Article 970a, V~rnon's Texas Cxvxl Statutes)
SECTION III
Th~s ordinance shall be in full force and effect lmmedlately
following its passage and approval
