1982-087AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE ON THE PROPOSED
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH
PUBLIC HEARING
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THF CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
On the ~__~ay of ~ 1982, at ~/:~d~ o'clock
along the west side of F M 1830 (Country Club Road) adjacent to
a wooden fence located approximately 1350 feet south of the
Intersection of Hobson Lane and F M 1830, the City Council will
hold a public hearing giving all 1nterested persons the right to
appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of
Denton, Texas of the following described property, to-wit
All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and being
s~tuated in the County of Denton, State of Texas, and being part
of the T Martin Survey, Abstract No 900 and the B B B & C R R
Company Survey, Abstract No 196 and being more particularly
described as follows
BEGINNING at a point ~n the present c~ty limits, said polnt lying
~n the west right of way line of F M 1830, said point also being
the northeast corner of the land as described ~n Annexation
Ordlnance No 81-79,
THENCE south 89o13' west along the present city limits a
distance of 1079 6 feet to a point for a corner, same being the
intersection of the land as described ~n Annexation Ordinance No
60-40 with the land as described in Annexation Ordinance No
81-79
THENCE northeasterly along the present city limits, an approxi-
mate distance of 1989 23 feet to a point for a corner,
THENCE east along the present city limits an appro×lmate dlstance
of 2404 22 feet to a point for a corner, same being the northwest
corner of the land as described ~n Annexation Ordinance No 74-6,
THENCE south 0o07'40'' west along the present city limits a
distance of 1231 feet to a point same being the southwest corner
of the land as described in Annexation Ordinance No 74-6 and the
northwest corner of the land as described in Annexation Ordinance
No 79-61,
THENCE south 0007'43'' west along the present city limits an
approximate distance of 350 feet to a Dolnt for a corner, same
being the northeast corner of the land as described in Annexation
Ordlnance No 80-12,
THENCE south 89034'46" west along the present city limits a
d~stance of 2616 76 feet to a point for a corner, sa~d point
lying in the east r~ght of way line of F M 1830,
THENCE south lO19' east along the present city limits and the
east right of way l~ne of F M 1830, a distance of 40 91 feet,
THENCE south 89o46'35'' west a distance of 40 feet to a point
for a corner, said point lying in the centerl~ne of F M 1830,

THENCE south 0o54'40'' east along the centerllne of F M 1830
an approxlate d~stance of 355 feet to a point for a corner, same
being the easterly northeast corner of the land as described in
Annexation Ordinance No 81-79,
THENCE north 89o53' west along the present city limits a
distance of 40 feet to a point for a corner,
THENCE north 0o54'40" west along the present city l~m~ts a
distance of 576 42 feet to the place of beginning and containing
111 72 acres of land, more or less
SECTION II
The Mayor of the City of Denton, Texas, is hereby authorized
and directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be
published once in a newspaper having general circulation ~n the
City and in the above described territory not more than fortv
days nor less than twenty days prior to the date of such public
hearing, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act
(Article 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes)
SECTION III
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately
following 1ts passage and approval
