AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE ON THE PROPOSFD
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH
PUBLIC HEARING
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
On the ~.~9~day of '~~/~4~J 1982, at ~/~ o'clock
on the east side of Mayhill Road approximately 250 feet south of
the intersection of Mayhlll Road and Paqe Road, the City Council
will hold a public hearing glv~nq all ~nterested persons the
right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the
C~ty of Denton, Texas of the following described property, to-wit
All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated
~n the County of Denton, State of Texas, and belnq part of the G
Walker Survey, Abstract No 1330 and being more particularly
descrl,bed as follows
BEGINNING at the most northerly northwest corner of present city
limits as established by Ordinance No 78-38, said point lyinq in
Mayhlll Road and in the west boundary line of the G Walker
Survey, Abstract No 1330, said point also being the southwest
corner of a tract of land conveyed to Andrew Corporation by deed
dated September 8, 1978 and recorded ~n Volume 912, Paqe 804 of
the Deed Records of Denton County, Texas,
THENCE north 4°13'44'' east along the west boundary l~ne of said
survey and ~n Mayhill Road a distance of 719 12 feet to a point,
said point being the northwest corner of a tract conveyed to
Andrew Corportlon by deed recorded ~n Volume 912, Page 821, same
being the southwest corner of a tract conveyed to Allan Mobile
Homes, Inc by deed recorded in Volume 1161, Page 570 of the Deed
Records of Denton County, Texas,
THENCE north 2o25'30" east along the west boundary line of sa~d
survey and ~n Mayhlll Road, same being the west boundary line of
said Allan Tract, a distance of 1140 8 feet to a point for a
corner, said point being the northwest corner of said Allan Tract
and the intersection of Mayh~ll Road with the centerl~ne of a
County Road to the east,
THENCE south 88o29' east along th~ north boundary line of said
tract, said being the centerllne of County Road, a distance of
1489 1 feet to a point for a corner, said point being the
northeast corner of said tract,
THENCE south 2o06' west along the east boundary l~ne of sa~d
tract, same being the center of a County Road, a distance of
1154 4 feet to a point for a corner, said point being the
southeast corner of sa~d tract,
THENCE north 87o57'30" west along the south boundary line of
said tract a distance of 28 94 feet to a point for a corner in
sa~d County Road same being the northeast corner of said Andrew
Tract,
THENCE south 4034'57" west along the east boundary line of said
Andrew Tract a d~stance of 735 64 feet to a point for a corner,
said point lying in the present city l~m~ts as established by
Ordinance No 78-38,

distance of 1026 01 feet to a point,
THEN~ north 86o09' west along the present city llmlts a
d~stance of 435.6 feet to the place of beginning and containing
63 89 acres of land, more or less
SECTION II
The Mayor of the City of Denton, Texas, ~s here~ authorized
and directed to cause notice of such public hearlng to be
published once in a newspaper havlng general circulation ~n the
Clty and in the above described territory not more than forty
days nor less than twenty days prior to the date of such public
hearing, all in accordance wlth the Mun~clpal Annexation Act
(Article 970a, Vernon's Texas Clvil Statutes)
SECTION III
Thls ordlnance shall be in full force and effect l~edlately
following its passage and approval
