1982-074 NO AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 26 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON BY ADDING THERETO A NEW ARTICLE V RELATING TO EMERGENCY AMBULANCES AND SETTING FEES FOR SFRVICES THEREOF, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION I That Chapter 26 of the Code of Ordinances of the C~ty of Denton, Texas is hereby amended by adding thereto a new Article V reading as follows ARTICLE V AMBULANCES Section 26-6S EMERGENCY SERVICE PROVIDED BY FIRE DEPARTMENT, FEE (a) The Fire Department of the C~ty of Denton shall prowde emergency ambulance serwce within the C~ty (b) The C~ty shall charge the following fees for emergency ambulance serwces ~n or out of the C~ty ~n response to a call received by the F~re Department requesting the serwces 1 $70 00 per person for the transport of a person from any location to a hospital, and 2 In addition to the above, $1 00 per m~le per person shall be charged for the one way d~stance traveled beyond the 3ur~sd~ct~onal l~m~ts of the County of Denton for the transport to or from a location outside the County of Denton SECTION II Ail ordinances or parts of ordinances ~n force when the prows~ons of th~s ordinance become effective which are ~ncons~stent or ~n conflict w~th the terms or provls~on~ contained ~n th~s ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict SECTION III Th~s ordinance shall become effective tmmed~ately upon ~ts passage and approval o- ~E~AR~ M~YOR ~/ IrY!
