AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF VEHICLES ON THE EAST
SIDE OF VINE STREET FROM THE INTERSECTION OF TEXAS STREET TO ITS
INTERSECTION WITH WITHERS STREET, PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE, PROVIDING A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS,
AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person
shall park a vehicle at anytime upon the following street in the
City of Denton to-wit
The east side of Vine Street from its intersection with
Texas Street to 1ts intersection with Withers Street
SECTION II
The provisions of Section I providing the parklng of
vehicles shall apply at all times to the street and part of
streets designated therein except when it is necessary to stop a
vehlcle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance
with the d~rect~on of a police officer or official traffic-
control device
SECTION III
Any person adjudged guilty of parking a vehicle ~n v~olation
of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished
by a fine not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200 00)
SECTION IV
That if any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence,
clause, phrase or word in this ordinance or application thereof
to an person or circumstances is held invalid by court of
competent jurisdiction, such holdlng shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance, and the
City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby declares it
would have enacted such remaining portions despite any such
lnvalidlty All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION V
That this ordinance shall become effectlve fourteen (14)
days from the date of its passage, and the City Secretary ~s
hereby directed to cause the caption of th~s ordinance to be
published twice in the Denton Record-Chronicle, the official
newspaper of the City of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of
the date of its passage.

SECTION II Repealing the designation on the south side of Oakland Street from ItS
Intersection with Austin Street to 160 feet east of Austin Street as Angle Parhng of Motor
Vehicles (Repealing that portion of Ordinance No 89-157 m conflict herewith)
SECTION III The provisions of Section I prohibiting the parking of vehicles shall apply
at all times to the desagnated portion of the above named street or streets except when ~t is
necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in eomphanee with the direction
of a police officer or official traffic control device
SECTION IV That all prowsions of the ordinances of the City of Denton in eonflmt with
the provtslons of this ordinance are hereby repealed, and all other provisions of the ordinances of
the City of Denton, not in conflict w~th the provisions of th~s ordinance, shall remain in full force
and effect
SECTION V That if any provision of thls ordinance or application thereof to any person
or circumstance is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the other provisions or
applications, and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are severable
SECTION V~ Any person adjudged gllllty of parkang a vehicle in violation of this
ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished by a fine not to exceed Two Hundred
Dollars ($200 00)
SECTION VII That this ordinance shall become effective fourteen 04) days from the
