AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF VEHICLES ON THE SOUTH
SIDE OF SCHMITZ STREET FROM THE INTERSECTION OF FRAME STREET TO
THE INTE~ECTION OF MINGO ROAD, PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE,
PROVIDING A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS, AND
DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person
shall park a vehicle at anytime upon the following street in the
City of Denton to-wit:
The south side of Schmitz Street from its inter-
section with Frame Street to its intersection
with Mingo Road
SECTION II
The provisions of Section I providing the parking of
vehicles shall apply at all times to the street and part of
streets designated therein except when it is necessary to stop a
vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance
with the direction of a police officer or official traffic-
control device
SECTION III
Any person ad]udged guilty of parking a vehicle in violation
of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished
by a fine not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200 00)
SECTION IV
That if any section, subsectIon, paragraph, sentence,
clause, phrase or word in this ordinance or apDllcation thereof
to an person or circumstances is held invalid by court of
competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance, and the
City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby declares it
would have enacted such remaining portions despite any such
Invalidity All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION V
That this ordinance shall become effective fourteen (14)
days from the date of its passage, and the City Secretary
hereby directed to cause the caption of this ordinance to be
published twice in the Denton Record-Chronicle, the official
newspaper of the City of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of

ANGLE PARKING DESIGNATION ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF OAKLAND STREET FROM
AUSTIN STREET TO 160 FEET EAST OF AUSTIN STREET, PROVIDING A SAVINGS
CLAUSE, PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE PROVIDING A PENALTY NOT TO
EXCEED TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS

and on the East Side of Frame Street from its intersection wath Sehrmtz to ars intersection
with Mmgo (Repealing that portmn of Ordinance No 82-64 In eonflaet herewith)
D On the south sade of Schmatz from its intersection wath Bell Avenue to tts
lntersectton wath Mmgo (Repealing that portion of Ordanance Nos 76-17 and 82-65 in
conflict herewith)
E On the west sade of Vine from its intersection wath Grove Street to its antersectaon
wath Texas, on the east sade of Vine from its intersection with Grove Street to its

SECTION II Repealing the des~gnatton on the south s~de of Oakland Street from Its
mtersectlon w~th Austin Street to 160 feet east of Austin Street as Angle Parking of Motor
Vehmles (Repeahng that portion of Ordinance No 89 157 in confltct herewith)
SECTION III The provisions of Section I prohibiting the parking of vehmles shall apply
at all t~mes to the designated portaon of the above named street or streets except when it is
necessary to stop a vehicle to avmd conflmt wtth other traffic or in compliance w~th the d~rect~on
of a pohee officer or officml traffic control device
SECTION IV That all provisions of the ordinances of the C~ty of Denton m conflict with
the prov~stons of th~s ordinance are hereby repealed, and all other promslons of the ordinances of
the C~ty of Denton, not m conflict w~th the pmv~smns of th~s orthnance, shall remmn ~n full fome
and effect
SECTION V That ~f any pmws~on of th~s ordinance or apphcat~on thereof to any person
or mmumstance ~s held mvahd, such mvahd~ty shall not affect the other prows~ons or
apphcat~ons, and to th~s end the prows~ons of th~s ordmance are severable
SECTION VI Any person adjudged guilty of parking a vehmle in v~olat~on of th~s
ordinance shall be gmlty of a m~sdemeanor and pumshed by a fine not to exceed Two Hundred
Dollars ($200 00)
SECTION VII That th~s ordinance shall become effective fourteen (14) days from the
