AN ORDINANCE RESTRICTING THE PARKING OF VEHICLE9 AT ANY TIME ON
THE WEST SIDE OF BRADLEY STREET FROM THE INTERSECTION OF OAK
STREET TO THE INTERSECTION OF SCRIPTURE STREET, REPEALING
ORDINANCE NO 82-26, PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUqE, PROVIDING A
PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS, AND DFCLARING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINq
SECTION I
When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person shall
park a vehicle at any time upon the following street in the Cltv
of Denton to-wit
The west side of Bradley Street from its inter-
section with Oak Street to its Intersection with
Scripture Street
SECTION II
The provisions of Section I providing the parking of vehicles
shall apply at all times to the street and part of streets
designated therein except when it is necessary to stop a vehtcle
to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the
direction of a police officer or official traffic- control device
SECTION III
Any person adjudged guilty of parking a vehicle in violation
of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished by
a fine not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200 00)
SECTION IV
That Ordinance No 82-26, heretofore effective, is hereby
repealed
SECTION IV
That if any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause,
phrase or word in this ordinance or aDpllcatlon thereof to an
person or circumstances is held invalid by court of competent
jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions of this ordinance, and the City Council of the
City of Denton, Texas, hereby declares it would have enacted such
remaining portions despite any such invalidity All ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed
SECTION V
That this ordinance shall become effective fourteen (14)
days from the date of its passage, and the City Secretary is
hereby directed to cause the caption of this ordinance to be
published twice in the Denton Record-Chronicle, the official
newspaper of the City of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of
the date of its passage //~
