1982-033 NO AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 80-66 BY INCREASING FROM SIX (6) TO SEVEN (7) THE NUMBER OF PERSONS AUTHORIZED TO EE EMPLOYED AS LIEUTENANTS IN THE CITY OF DENTON POLICE DEPARTMENT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, Section I of Ordinance No 80-66 provldes for the classification of the positions of Lieutenant in the City of Denton Police Department upon recommendation of the Firemen's and Police- men's Civil Service Commission pursuant to Article 1269m, V T C S , and WHEREAS, the City Council is vested with the sole authority to determine the number of persons to be employed in the classified position of Lieutenant pursuant to Article 1269m, V T C S , and WHEREAS, Section II of Ordinance No 80-66 authorizes six (6) persons to be employed in the position of Police Lieutenant, and WHEREAS, the City Council determines that a need exists in the City of Denton Police Department for seven (7) persons to be employed in the position of Police Lieutenant, NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION I That Section II of Ordinance No 80-66 is hereby amended by changing the number of persons authorized to be employed in the position of Police Lieutenant from six (6) to seven (7) Lleutenant~ SECTION II.
