1982-023AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING CITY LOTS 1 AND 2, BLOCK 260, AND PART OF CITY LOTS 1 AND 2, BLOCK 265 OF THE CITY OF DENTON, DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS AS A HISTORIC LANDMARK UNDER ORDINANCE NO 80-30 (ARTICLE 28A OF THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE), AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the Historic Landmark Commission and the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Denton have recommended that the property herein described be designated as a historic landmark in the City of Denton, NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION I The Oakwood Cemetery located on East Prairie Street known as City Lots 1 and 2, Block 260 and part of City Lots 1 and 2, Block 265 of the City of Denton, Denton County, Texas is hereby designated as a historic landmark under Ordinance No 80-30, Article 28A of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City of Denton, Texas SECTION II The historic landmark designation shall be indicated upon the zoning map of the City of Denton by the letter "H", and the property herein described shall be sub3ect to all of the terms, prov%slons and requirements of Ordinance No 80-30, Article 28A of the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City of Denton, Texas SECTION III This ordinance shall become effective from and after its date of passage PASSED AND APPROVED this the 23th day of February, 1982 CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS ATTEST CHARLOTTE~ALL~N, CITY SECRETARY CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS APPROVED AS TO LEGAL FORM C J TAYLOR, JR , CITY ATTORNEY CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS H-22-DENTON LANDMARK COMMISSION-PAGE ONE
