1982-016AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF VEHICLES ON BOTH SIDES
OF WILLOWSPRINGS ROAD BETWEEN THE INTERSECTION OF DALLAS DRIVE
TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH SHADY OAKS, PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE, PROVIDING A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED DOLLARg,
AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
When signs are erected giving notice thereof, no person
shall park a vehicle at anytime upon the followlnq street ~n the
C~ty of Denton to-w~t
Both sides of Wlllowsprlngs Road between its ~ntersectlon
w~th Dallas Dr~ve to Its Intersection with Shady Oaks
SECTION II
The provisions of Section I providing the parklng of
vehicles shall apply at all t~mes to the street and part of
streets designated therein except when ~t ~s necessary to stop a
vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance
with the direction of a police officer or official traffic-
control device
SECTION III
Any person adjudged guilty of parking a vehicle ~n violation
of this ordinance shall be guilty of a m~sdemeanor and punished
by a fine not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200 00)
SECTION IV
That if any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence,
clause, phrase or word in th~s ordinance or application thereof
to an person or circumstances is held ~nvalld by court of
competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance, and the
C~ty Councll of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby declares it
would have enacted such remaining portions despite any such
~nvalldlty All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION V
That this ordinance shall become effective fourteen (14)
days from the date of its passage, and the City gecretary
hereby directed to cause the caption of this ordinance to be
published twice in the Denton Record-Chronicle, the official
newspaper of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of
the date of ~ts passage
