AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 25-6 OF CHAPTER 25 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ADDING PARAGRAPH
RELATING TO PRO RATA BILLINGS FOR UTILITY CONSUMPTION AND BY
ADDING PARAGRAPH (1) RELATING TO PRORATION OF MONTHLY CUSTOMER
FACILITY CHARGES AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
Section 25-6 of Chapter 25 of the Code of Ordinances of the
C~ty of Denton, Texas, ~s hereby amended by adding paragraphs
(h) and (~) which shall hereafter read as follows
"(h) Proration of utility b~lls The b~ll~ngs for
utilities consumption shall be calculated on a
thirty (30) day bas~s and prorated h~gher or
lower for longer or shorter b~ll~ng per~ods
respectively
(1) Proration of customer facility charge Ail
monthly customer facility charges contained
th~s Chapter shall be prorated h~gher or lower
for b~ll~ng periods longer or shorter than thirty
(30) days, repspect~vely In such cases, the
flat monthly charge shall be multiplied by twelve
(12) then d~wded by three hundred s~xty-ftve
($6S) to arrive at a daxly customer faclllty
charge The dally charge shall then be
multiplied by the actual number of days in the
billing period"
SECTION II
Th~s ordinance shall become effective from and after ~ts
date of passage and approval
