AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF VEHICLES ON BOTH SIDES
OF THE BNTRANCE DRIVE TO DENIA RECRHATION CENTER IN THE CITY OF
DENTON, TEXAS, PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, PROVIDING A
PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS, AND DECLARING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
When signs are erected g~vlng not~ce thereof, no person
shall park a vehicle at anytime upon the followlnR street in
the C~ty of Denton to-wit
Both sides of the entrance drive to Denla Recreation
Center
SECTION II
The provisions of Section I providing the parking of
vehicles shall apply at all times to the street and part of
streets desxgnated therein except when ~t ~s necessary to stop
a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance
with the direction of a police officer or official
traffic-control device
SECTION III
A person adjudged guilty of parklnR a vehicle ~n violation
of th~s ordinance shall be gmlty of a m~sdemeanor and punished
by a f~ne not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars
SECTION IV
That ~f any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence,
clause, phrase or word in this ordinance, or appl,catlon
thereof to any person or circumstances ~s held ~nval~d by any
court of competent ~urlsdlctlon, such hold~ng shall not a~fect
the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance, and
the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby declares
it would have enacted such remaining portions despite any such
invalidity All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed
SECTION V
That thzs ordznance shall become effectzve fourteen
days from the date of ~ts passage, and the C~tv Secretary ~s
hereby dzrected to cause the captzon of tb~s ordznance to be
publzshed twtce zn the Denton Record-Chronzcle, the offzc~al
newspaper of the Czty of Denton, Texas wzthzn ten (10) days of
the date of zts passage
