1981-064AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO 79-3q PASSED AND APPROVED
BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS ON THE 2qTH
DAY OF MAY, 1979 PERTAINING TO EXTENDED HOURS FOR THE LAWFUL
SALE, POSSESSION AND CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES IN THE
CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
I~H~REAS, the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas has
heretofore enacted Ordinance No 79-59 to prowde for extended
hours for the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages in
the C~ty of Denton, Texas pursuant to the provisions of the
Texas Alcoholxc Beverage Code, and
I~HI~REAS, the C~ty Council of the City of Denton hereby
f~nds and determines that ~t ~s ~n the best ~nterest of the
c~t~zens of the C~ty of Denton to repeal sasd ordinance and not
permxt the extended hours for the sale, possession and
cons~ptxon of alcoholic beverages ~n the C~ty of Denton,
Texas, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF D~NTON, T~XAS HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
Ordxnance No 79-59 passed and approved by the C~ty Council
of the City of Denton, Texas on the 29th day of May, 197q be,
and the same is hereby repealed
SECTION II
Thxs ordinance shall become effectxve from and after the
1st day of July, 1981
SECTION III
The Cxty Secretary ~s hereby ~nstructed to forward a copy
of this ordinance to the Dxrector of the Texas Alcoholic
Beverage Commission ~n Austin, Texas and to the local
representative of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission
the C~ty of Denton and ~n the C~ty o~Dallas, Texas
