AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF VEHICLES ON BOTH SIDES OF
RAMEY STREET PROM 8 00 P M TO 6 00 A M , PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE, PROVIDING A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS, AND
DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
When signs are erected g~wng not~ce thereof, no person shall
park a vehicle at anytime upon the following street ~n the C~ty of
Denton tO-w~t
Both s~des of Ramey street from 8 00 P M until 6 O0 A M
SECTION II
The prows~ons of Section I prowdxng the parking of vehicles
shall apply at all t~mes to the street and part of streets
designated there~n except when ~t is necessary to stop a vehicle to
avoid conflxct w~th other traffic or ~n compliance w~th the
d~rect~on of a police officer or official traffic-control dewce
SECTION III
Any person ad3udged guilty of parking a vehicle ~n wolat~on of
th~s ordinance shall be guilty of a msdemeanor and punished by a
f~ne not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ~$200 00)
SECTION IV
That ~f any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause,
phrase or word ~n th~s ordinance or application thereof to an person
or c~rcumstances ~s held ~nval~d by court of competent 3ur~sdxct~on,
such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions
of th~s ordinance, and the C~ty Council of the C~ty of Denton,
Texas, hereby declares ~t would have enacted such remaining portions
despite any such ~nval~d~ty All ordinances ~n conflict herewith
are hereby repealed
SECTION V
That th~s ordinance shall become effective fourteen (14) days
from the date of ~ts passage, and the C~ty Secretary ~s hereby
d~rected to cause the caption of th~s ordinance to be published
twice ~n the Denton Record-Chronicle, the official newspaper of the
C~ty of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of the date of ~ts
passage
