1981-029 CODE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS IS HEREBY AMENDED BY ADDING A
NEW SUBSECTION REGULATING POLITICAL SIGNS ON RESIDENTIAL ZONED
PROPERTY, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
Article 17 of the Zoning Ordinance Appendix B of the Code
of the City of Denton, Texas ~s hereby amended hy adding a new
subsection N reading as follows
ARTICLE 17
N Temporary Political S~gns
On residential zoned property no pol~t~cal s~gn may b~
erected prior to 45 days of the elect~on date and said
sign must be removed w~th~n ten (10) days after the
completion of the elect~on said sign advertises,
~nclud~ng any run-off elect~on Sa~d sign may not be
larger than thirty-two {32) square feet and not more
than one s~gn for each candidate or ballot measure may
be erected on one lot or tract of land No political
sign may be placed, erected, or allowed to remain upon
any port,on of the public street r~ght-of-way of the
City of Denton in any Zoning District
SECTION II
This ordinance shall become effective from and after May l,
1981
