1981-028 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 26 B [S) OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS AN
APPENDIX TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON,
TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO 69-1, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That Article 26 B (5) of the Zoning Ordinance of the C~ty
of Denton, Texas, as same was adopted as an Appendix to the
Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, by Ordinance
No 69-1 be amended to read as follows
"B (5) In case of a written protest against such
change, s~gned by the owners of twenty percent
or more e~ther of the area of the lots or land
~ncluded ~n such proposed change, or of the lots or
land ~mmed~ately ad3o~n~ng the same and extending two
hundred feet (200') therefrom, such amendment shall
not become effective except by the favorable vote of
three-fourths {3/4) of all members of the C~ty
Council Furthermore, a favorable vote of
three-fourths (3/4) of all members of the C~ty
Council ~s required to overrule a recommendation of
the Planning and Zoning Commission that a proposed
amendment, supplement, or change be den~ed"
SECTION II
That th~s ordinance shall become effective from and after
~ts date of passage
