THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
i That the City Secretary is directed to issue a Not~ce
of Sale of Bonds in substantially the following form
OFFICIAL NOTICE OF SALE
CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS
$4,000,000
WATERWORKS AND SEWER SYSTEM REVENUE BONDS,
SERIES 1979
$4,500,000
GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS,
SERILS 1979
The City Council of the City of Denton, Denton County,
Texas, will receive sealed bids at the Municipal Build-
lng, 215 E McKlnney Street, in the City of Denton until
7 00 p m , Tuesday, March 6, 1979
for the purchase of
$4,000,000 Waterworks and Sewer System Revenue Bonds, to
De dated March 15, 1979, and to mature seriall~ Jul~ 15
each year 1981 through 2000
$4,500,000 General Obligation Bonds, to be dated March
15, 1979, and to mature serially March 15 each year 1981
through 2000
Sealed bids, plainly marked "Bid for Bonds", should be
addressed to "Honorable Mayor and City Council, City of
Denton, Texas", and must be submitted on the "Official
Bid Form" to be made available by the City Council prior
to the date of sale
Ail sealed bids will be publicly opened and tabulated
before the Council
Copies of the "Official Statement", "Notice of Sa±e",
and "Official Bid Form" are being prepared and will be
mailed to prospective bzdders on or about February 20,
1979, and will be furnished to any ~rospectlve bidder
upon request, by First Southwest Company, 900 Mercantile
Bank Building, Dallas, Texas, 75201, ~lnancial Advisors
to the City
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids
and to waive any and all zrregularltles

Buyer, New York, New York, which is a national publication
reqularly and primarily carrying financial news and municipal
bond sale notices, and said Notice also shall be published once
in the "Denton Record-Chronicle", which has been designated as
the official newspaper of the Cmty of Denton Said publica-
tions shall be made at least thirty days prior to the aay set
for receiving bids

as a true, full, and correct excerpt from said Caty Council's
minutes of saad Meetang pertaanang to the passage of saad Orda-
nance, that the persons named ~n the above and forego~n~ para-
graph are the duly chosen, qualified, and actang officers an~
members of saad Caty Councal as andzcated therean, that each of
the offacers and members of saad Caty Councal was duly and suffi-

3 That the Mayor of saad Caty has approved, and hereby
approves, the aforesaid Ordanance, that the Mayor and the City
Secretary of saad Caty have duly sagned saad Ordinance, and
that the Mayor and the Caty Secretary of saad Caty hereby de-
clare that their sagnang of thas Certafacate shall constatute
the signing of the attached and following copy of saad Ordinance
for all purposes
