AN ORDINANCE ANNEXATING A TRACT OF LAND CONTIGUOUS AND ADJACENT TO
THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BEING ALL THAT LOT, TRACT OR PARCEL OF
LAND CONSISTING OF APPROXIMATELY 31a 826l ACRES OF LAND LYING AND
BEING SITUATED IN THE COUNTY OF DENTON, STATE OF TEXAS AND BEINC
IN THE O S COLLARD SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO 297, A WHITE SURVEY,
ABSTRACT 1406, AND THE N WADE SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO la07 , DENTON
COUNTY, TEXAS, CLASSIFYING THE SAME AS LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT
PRORERTY, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the request for annexation was ~ntrodured at a
regular meeting of the Czty Councz] of the Czty of Denton, Texas,
on the petztzon of Dale Cunningham, and
WHEREAS, an opportunity was afforded, at a publzc hearing held
for that purpose on August 7, 1979 for all znterested persons to
state thezr views and present evzdence bearzng upon the annexatzon
prowded by thzs ordznance, and
WHEREAS, this ordznance has been publtshed tn full at least
one tzme zn the official newspaper of the Czty of Denton, Texas,
przor to zts effectzve date, and after the puh]]c heartngs
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS,
HEREBY ORDAINS
SECT,ION I
That the hereznafter descrzbed tract of land be, and the same
zs hereby annexed to the C~ty of Denton, Texas, and the same ts
made hereby a part of sazd Czty and the land and the present and
future ~nhab~tants thereof shall be entztled to all the r~ghts and
pr~vzleges of other cztlzens of sqzd C~ty and shall be bound hy
the acts and ordznances of sa~d Ctty now ~n effect or which may
hereafter be enacted and the property situated there~n shall be
subject to and shall bear ~ts prorata pa~t of the taxes ]ev]ed by
the Czty The tract of land hereby annexed ts described as

Being all that certazn lot, tract or parcel of land s~tuated ~n
the J S Collard Survey, Abstract No 297, the A White Survey,
Abstract No 140~ and the N Wade Survey, Abstract No 1407,
Denton County, Texas, and bezng more particularly described as
follows
BEGINNING at an zron rod at the present ~ntersectton of the common
east lzne of the J S Collard Survey, Abstract No 297, end west
] [ne of the T Toby Survey, Abstract No 12~8, wtth the north
rzght of way lzne of Rlney Road (a ~0 foot rzght of wey),
THENCE north 88 degrees 37 minutes 36 seconds west 329 73 feet
with the north line of Rlney Road to an iron rod for corner at a
corner cutoff in the northeast right of way line of U S Highway
77 (a 120 foot right of way),
THENCE north 73 degrees 13 minutes 59 seconds west 77 74 feet with
the northeast line of U S Highway 77 and the corner cutoff line to
an iron rod for corner,
THENCE north 58 degrees 08 minutes 36 seconds west 814 14 feet
with the northeast line of U S Highway 77 to an iron rod for
corner
THENCE north 58 degrees 09 minutes 36 seconds west 3550 01 feet
with the northeast l~ne of U S H~ghway 77 to an iron rod at the
south corner of a corner cutoff at the present intersection of the
northeast line of U S Highway 77 wLth the east rlaht of way l~ne
of Bonnie Brae Road (a variable width right of way),
