1979-070AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 78-8 OF THE ZONING MAP OF THE
CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AS ADOPTED ON THE 21ST DAY OF FEBRUARY,
A D 1978, BY AMENDING (2) OF ORDINANCE NO 78-8 TO PERMIT
UNITS ON 5 8 ACRES OF LAND OUT OF LOT 20, BLOCK 136-B, AND BEING
LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF WINDSOR DRIVE, AS SHOWN ON THE
OFFICIAL TAX MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED THEREIN, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That Ordinance No 78-8, passed and approved on the 21st day
of February, 1978, is hereby amended by changing Section I, No 1,
of the said ordinance to read as follows
"1 No more than II~' units shall be developed on the
multi-family site in this proposal The multi-
family development, together with the recrea-
tional area, shall require site plan approval
and shall be designed ~n such a manner that will
feasibly permit single family housing to be
constructed on ad3oining properties as has been
proposed"
SECTION II
That the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas hereby
finds that such change is in accordance wlth a comprehensive plan
for the purpose of promoting the general welfare of the City of
Denton, Texas, and with reasonable consideration, among other
things for the character of the district and for ~ts peculiar
suitab~lity or particular uses, and with a view to conserving the
value of the buildings, protecting human l~ves, and encouraging
the most appropriate uses of land for the maximum benefit to the
City of Denton, Texas, and its citizens
SECTION III
That thls ordinance shall be in full force and effect
· mmed~ately after its passage and approval, the required public
hearings having heretofore been held by the Planning and Zoning
Commission and the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas,
after giving due notice thereof
