1979-065 NO 65 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THF CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS AN APPENDIX TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO 69-1, AND AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO APPROXIMATELY 3 766 ACRES OF LAND AS SHOWN THIS DATE ON THE OFFICIAL TAX MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND MORF PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED THEREIN, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THE COUN{'IL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION I That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texas, adopted the l~Ith day of January, 1969, as an Appendix to the Code of Ordin- ances of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, under provisions of Ordinance No 69-1, be, and the same ~s hereby amended as follows All tne hereinafter described property is hereby reclassified as below described as shown on said Zoning Map, and all prov~sTons of Ordinance No 69-1, adopted the 14th day of January, 1969, as amended 1 1 37 acres of land located near the northeast corner of Dallas and Hopkins Drive shall be removed from the Agricultural "A" D~str~ct to the Multi-Family "MF-I" Dlstrlct In the same manner as other property located ~n the Multi-Family "MP-1" District, 2 1 773 acres of land beglnnTng 40 feet north of the Dallas and Hopkins Dr~ve intersection shall be removed from the Agricultural D}str~ct "A" to the General RetaT1 "BR" D~str~ct in the same manner as other property located ~n the General Retail "GR" D~strTct, and 3 623 acre of land beginning 230 feet north of the Dallas and Hopkins Drive ~ntersect~on shall he removed from the Light Industrial "LI" D}strlct to General Retail "GR" D~strlct ~n the same manner as other property located in the General Retail "GR" Dlstrlct SECTION II That the C~ty {'ounc~l of the C~ty of Denton, Texas hereby finds that such change Ts Tn accordance with a comprehensive plan for the purpose of promotTng the general welfare of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, and w~th reasonable cons~deratTon, among other th~ngs for the character of the d~strlct and for ~ts peculiar suitability or particular uses, and w~th a v~ew to conservln9 the value of the buildings, protecting human l~ves, and encouraging the most appropriate uses of land for the maximum benefit to the City of Denton, Texas, and its c~tlzens SECTION III That th~s ordinance shall be ~n full force and effect ~mmed~ately after ~ts passage and approval, the required public hearings having heretofore been held by the Plann~ncl and 7on~ng Commission and the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, after g~v~ng due not}ce thereof PASSED AND APPROVED th~s the 4th d~~, A D 1979 ~ L~ NASH, 'MAYOR - ~=~ CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS aURT R SOLOMONS,-ACTING CITY ATTORNEY, CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS
